What is email deliverability?

It is all about making sure your emails arrive in the inbox.

There are many reasons why your emails may not arrive in the inbox. First, there are between 80% to 90% of emails out there which are spam. There are many techniques to discard these spams, but in this fight there is collateral damage, and your email may not arrive at all or be delivered in the junk folder (which people rarely read).

How do you get these emails delivered?

There are in general two methods:

1. Identify which intermediary is blocking the email and contact it so it lets it pass.
2. Identify what causes the email to be blocked and correct the problem at the source

Both methods requires experience and contacts in the email industry. This is not too much dark magic, but to an outsider it may look like it and it will get you frustrated because you are either not understanding the issue or you are not talking to the right people.
